Our Methods

Our Methods

Ethixa employs the most highly talented developers in the area, using the most advanced development suites, and running all of our development projects on the industry's most trusted platform (Microsoft Team Foundation Server). Even through all of that, our biggest investment is in the methods we implement to get the job done. We invest R&D on a regular basis to evaluate and educate our team on the most highly regarded methodologies to ensure successful delivery of our projects.

Agile Manifesto

The Agile Manifesto, as you see below, is read out loud at each of Ethixa's meetings to remind ourselves of the value there is in being able to respond to customer's changing needs. The Agile Manifesto reads, in its entirety, as follows:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Twelve Principles underlie the Agile Manifesto:

  • Customer satisfaction by rapid delivery of useful software
  • Welcome changing requirements, even late in development
  • Working software is delivered frequently (weeks rather than months)
  • Working software is the principal measure of progress
  • Sustainable development, able to maintain a constant pace
  • Close, daily cooperation between businesspeople and developers
  • Face-to-face conversation is the best form of communication (co-location)
  • Projects are built around motivated individuals, who should be trusted
  • Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design
  • Simplicity
  • Self-organizing teams
  • Regular adaptation to changing circumstances
